Your main tasks and responsibilities:
Lead all operational activities within the Birmingham Service Centre to deliver on-time, in-full and within budget.
Develop robust production planning to align labour, capacity and customer delivery expectations.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement through Lean initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen and Value Stream Mapping.
Manage cost control including headcount, utilisation and overtime within agreed budgets.
Develop and mentor a high-performing team aligned with Sulzer values, with clear succession planning and people development focus.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Proven experience in managing production or manufacturing operations.
Services aftermarket experience within the rotating equipment sector (motors, pumps, generators).
Apprenticeship in engineering (or equivalent), with IOSH Health & Safety for Managers.
Strong leadership, communication and decision-making skills with the ability to influence across levels.
Demonstrated success in driving operational change and implementing Lean/CI initiatives.
Commercially astute, with a track record of delivering improvements in cost, quality, and delivery performance.
