Job Description
Mechanical Engineer, Salary £42,000 per annum, Glasgow
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic plant environment, carrying out general maintenance and fault-finding on a range of equipment, including moulding machines, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, steam boilers, and compressed air systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mon - Fri, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Perform general maintenance on moulding machines, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam boilers, and compressed air systems.
- Conduct fault-finding and diagnostics to ensure minimal downtime.
- Carry out scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
- Work 2-3 weekends per year as required to support operational needs.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Time-served mechanical engineer with proven hands-on experience.
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with compressed air systems.
- Familiarity with steam boilers (advantageous but not essential).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.
