Location: Sheffield S5
Salary: £155 - £200 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Easter 2025, Summer 2025

Are you an enthusiastic History Teacher looking to inspire the next generation of historians?

GSL Education are hiring a History Teacher to guide students through pivotal moments in history. You'll empower them to analyse evidence, develop sharp critical skills, and understand the present through the lens of the past. What You’ll Be Doing:

1. Make history fun by teaching lessons for all students.
2. Create an inclusive and dynamic classroom environment that fosters a love of history.
3. Develop students' analytical and critical thinking skills through the study of historical events.
4. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
5. Encourage students to connect history with the present day and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a degree in History or a related subject.
2. Experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3 & KS4, KS5 desirable).
3. Strong subject knowledge in a variety of historical periods and events.
4. Excellent classroom management and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
5. Passion for teaching and encouraging students to think critically.
6. Effective communication skills to work with students, staff, and parents.
7. Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
