Job summary
A healthcare services provider in Greater London is looking for a Sterile Services Technician. This entry-level position offers extensive training, transforming you into a crucial part of infection prevention in the healthcare system. Responsibilities include preparing sterile consumables, checking theatre instruments, and safely operating sterilising equipment. The ideal candidate should demonstrate numerical and verbal proficiency, along with teamwork and attention to detail. Flexible shifts are available after the training period.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
- Basic end-user IT skills required.
Responsibilities
- Ensure effective preparation of sterile consumables following quality standards.
- Check, wash, and pack sets of theatre instruments to specifications.
- Safely operate and monitor sterilising machines.
- Record repairs and missing instruments on IT systems.
- Return repaired instruments to appropriate stock.
