Technology Assistant at WatchHouse.

In short

This is a junior hands‑on role providing first‑line IT support and ensuring smooth day‑to‑day tech operations across WatchHouse. From setting up laptops to troubleshooting POS systems you'll be the go‑to person helping our teams stay connected and supported. The Tech Ops Assistant works closely with the Tech Manager to deliver reliable IT support, coordinate with vendors and maintain equipment and systems across the business. This is designed as an entry‑level position; no prior IT job experience is required—just enthusiasm, curiosity and a drive to learn.

Directly reports into (Line Manager): Abdul Shahin, Technology Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and configure laptops and hardware for new starters.
  • Create and manage user accounts (SharePoint, Dashlane, Splashtop, POS, etc.).
  • Monitor and respond to IT support requests, escalating when necessary.
  • Support administration of POS and stock systems.
  • Assist colleagues with basic system use and troubleshooting.
  • Liaise with external vendors to resolve support issues.
  • Track and maintain IT assets across all sites.
  • Keep IT process and training documentation up to date.
  • Support rollout of new technology (POS features, software updates).
  • Provide occasional on‑site support for openings or key projects.
