A community-based mental health service is seeking a qualified psychiatrist to provide medical leadership and comprehensive psychiatric assessments for inpatients. The ideal candidate will manage psychiatric emergencies, facilitate multidisciplinary meetings, and participate in Tribunal work. This role offers the opportunity to work in an innovative area of Greater Manchester, with support for professional development.
This is a newly created post in a busy community‑based CAMHS service which serves a population size of around 330,000. The service is commissioned to provide specialist mental health support for children and young people aged 5 to 18 years presenting with moderate to severe mental health difficulties. Depression, anxiety‑related difficulties, self‑harm, difficulties associated with neurodiversity are frequent presentations leading to referral.
