Samsung TV Plus is a premium, global entertainment service and the most-used streaming app on Samsung Smart TVs. A leader in the FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) space, it offers thousands of shows and movies on-demand and over 3,500 linear channels across 30+ countries. As we continue to scale across Europe, Our Marketing team is hiring a Senior PR Manager for EMEA to lead the external communications and PR strategy for Samsung TV Plus across 19 markets. This is a key role within the regional Product Marketing team and a critical part of our global communications function.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

We are seeking a visionary and senior communications leader to define and drive the overarching communications strategy for Samsung TV Plus across Europe. This high-impact role blends strategic oversight with hands-on execution, ensuring Samsung TV Plus is recognised as a key player in the rapidly evolving streaming and entertainment space. You will shape narrative development, elevate executive visibility, and build influential relationships across media, industry, and internal stakeholders. You will lead pan-European agency relationships, oversee high-profile integrated campaigns, and act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders both regionally and globally.

Strategic Communications Leadership

• Serve as the Communications Lead for Samsung TV Plus, setting the strategic direction across the European region, while aligning with global business objectives

• Act as the key advisor to senior executives on communication strategy, thought leadership, and reputation management

• Own narrative development for the service across B2B and B2C audiences, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with global messaging

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key media contacts, event organisers, and thought leaders in the streaming and entertainment industry

• Lead development of integrated communications campaigns that drive visibility, market leadership, and business impact

• Develop and implement strategies for executive profiling, spokesperson training, and speaker opportunities across key events

• Manage Samsung TV Plus' media agencies, including oversight of strategy, pitching, press release development, and results tracking

• Collaborate with global communications, Ads, Business Development, Editorial, and Product teams to ensure message alignment and cross-regional synergy

Media Relations & External Affairs

• Cultivate and expand Samsung TV Plus’s presence within top-tier media outlets, trade publications, and key opinion leaders in the entertainment and tech industries

• Oversee multiple media and PR agencies across Europe, providing strategic guidance, approving messaging, and ensuring execution excellence

• Shape the strategy for proactive media engagement, channel launch announcements, content partnerships, and corporate reputation initiatives

Executive & Thought Leadership

• Drive executive visibility through strategic profiling, high-level media opportunities, and industry event participation

• Oversee spokesperson strategy, training, and messaging to position key leaders as credible voices in the streaming ecosystem

• Secure keynote speaking slots, panel opportunities, and awards submissions across industry events to amplify Samsung TV Plus’s leadership

Cross-functional & Global Collaboration

• Act as the regional comms lead in global planning forums; align EMEA campaigns with global communications, Ads, Editorial, and Product teams

• Champion cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns that elevate storytelling and service differentiation

• Translate business and product milestones into compelling communications moments for external and internal audiences

Industry Engagement & Events

• Lead Samsung TV Plus’s strategic presence at top-tier events (e.g., IFA, MIPCOM, Cannes Lions, etc.), overseeing sponsorships, partnerships, and speaking opportunities

• Develop campaigns around marquee content launches and regional milestones that reinforce Samsung TV Plus as an industry disruptor

Digital & Social Leadership

• Guide the strategy for LinkedIn, CRM, and thought leadership content, enhancing the platform’s presence with industry stakeholders

• Partner with digital, marketing, and editorial teams to integrate PR efforts across digital touchpoints and owned channels

What we need for this role

• 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, PR, or brand strategy within media, entertainment, streaming, or technology sectors.

• Proven success leading multi-market communications programs across Europe, with a clear understanding of FAST, AVOD, or SVOD business models.

• Strong media and industry network, with a demonstrated ability to land high-impact coverage and drive share of voice.

• Executive-level presence and experience advising C-suite stakeholders.

• Strong leadership and project management skills; ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

• Adept at agency management, budget oversight, and performance measurement.

• Fluent in English; additional European languages a strong advantage.

The interview process

All interviews will be designed to test your knowledge and experience of the main responsibilities of the role and will give you a chance to describe your suitability. During the process, we will also look at aspects such as your ability to cope with stress, multitasking and other skills needed for a busy working environment.

Please note this role requires international travel, mainly around Europe, Suwon and the US, sometimes at short notice. Leading, attendance and participation of key events is also required around Europe, such as Mipcom.

You will also be expected to work from our Covent Garden office in central London 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). On certain occasion, you will need to attend courses and meetings at Samsung UK Office in Chertsey (outside of London).
