Overview

The Company We are looking to procure an experienced Plumber to join an award-winning Group Company based on the outskirts of Exeter. Their family of businesses invest in projects fostering social, environmental, and economic prosperity and they are committed to sustainability and minimal environmental impact. Their Building and Property division that manages this portfolio for the group is looking for an experienced Plumber to join their happy team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in plumbing and mechanical systems, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and safety, ensuring that all plumbing installations and repairs meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial properties.
  • Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete plumbing tasks.
  • Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures according to specifications.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all duties.
About You
  • Proven experience in plumbing or a related field is essential.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot plumbing issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
  • Experience in carpentry is an advantage for installations that require structural modifications.
  • A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transportation of materials and equipment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as necessary during installations or repairs.
