A metropolitan police force in Manchester is seeking a skilled Digital Forensic Investigator to lead forensic investigations on digital devices. The role requires extensive experience in digital forensics and a strong understanding of criminal investigations. As part of a leading team, you will present complex evidence in court and work with sensitive materials. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-profile investigations.
The Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has vacancies for Digital Forensic Investigators within its Digital Forensic Investigation Unit (DFIU).
In this exciting and varied role you will be at the forefront of one of the largest and most advanced digital forensic teams in UK policing.
Conduct intelligence‑led digital forensic investigations on a wide range of digital devices and sources, providing evidence and expert interpretation of the relevant data in a format acceptable to the court.
Present evidence to police investigators, prosecutors and the courts, explaining complex digital evidence in a manner that can be understood by a wide range of audiences.
Work closely with specialist digital forensic practitioners and officers, analysing sensitive and distressing material, including child sexual abuse material and other serious crimes.
