Design Technology Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey

An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join their innovative Design and Technology department. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for Key Stage 5).

Responsibilities:

1. Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons, fostering creativity and technical proficiency.
2. Cover a range of specialisms within Design Technology (e.g., Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, Textiles).
3. Create a safe and inspiring workshop environment.
4. Assess student progress and provide effective feedback.
5. Contribute to the Design Technology curriculum.

Requirements:

1. Qualified Design Technology Teacher (QTS) with a degree in Design Technology or a related field.
2. Proven experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary level.
3. Strong practical skills across relevant specialisms.
4. Excellent classroom management and organizational skills.
5. Passionate about teaching Design Technology.
