Job summary
A leading recruitment firm is seeking a Contract FPGA Engineer to work on cutting-edge projects in Potters Bar. The role involves designing and debugging VHDL-based FPGA hardware and requires over 10 years of FPGA design experience. Ideal candidates will have a strong ability to analyze system-level requirements and deliver projects on time. This position offers a hybrid work model with 3 days on-site and 2 from home.

- Design, implement, and debug VHDL-based FPGA hardware.
- Develop test benches and verification vectors for FPGA designs.
- Define requirements, create design documentation, and ensure thorough testing with supporting evidence.
- Build and configure firmware packages for release, including documentation and stakeholder communication.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and conduct design reviews.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on firmware-related matters.
- Use test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, signal generators) to validate hardware performance.
- 10+ years’ experience in FPGA design.
- Proven ability to analyse system-level requirements.
- Strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Proficiency in VHDL.
