The Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on varied and challenging projects across multiple asset classes and sectors, including logistics, commercial developments, healthcare, petrol forecourts, and self-storage facilities.

With a strong pipeline of work and sustained business growth, they need a dedicated professional who can manage projects from inception to completion while maintaining the high standards their clients expect.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of cost management throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-contract through to final account
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and feasibility studies
  • Administer contracts, with particular focus on NEC contract forms
  • Conduct regular valuations, cost reports, and cash flow forecasts
  • Manage variations, change orders, and final account settlements
  • Provide value engineering solutions and cost-saving recommendations
  • Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Prepare tender documentation and manage tender processes
  • Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies

Essential Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • MRICS qualified (essential)
  • Proven post-qualification experience in a consultancy environment
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC contract forms (essential)
  • Experience across multiple sectors and project types
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities
  • Proficient in relevant QS software and Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in healthcare / NHS projects
  • Knowledge of commercial and logistics sectors
  • Understanding of petrol forecourt construction
