Job summary
A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee the payroll operations for a client in St. Austell, Cornwall. You will manage both weekly and monthly payroll runs, ensuring compliance with UK payroll legislation and a high degree of accuracy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in payroll management, proficiency in Sage, and strong analytical skills. This is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of up to £40,000 per annum.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of UK payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities.
Responsibilities
- Process weekly and monthly payroll runs accurately.
- Ensure compliance with pay regulations and tax obligations.
- Manage employee data within the payroll/HR system.
- Conduct payroll reconciliations and assist audits.
- Liaise with HMRC and resolve payroll queries.
