About the Role:

We are hiring an experienced Pharmacy Dispenser Team Lead to spearhead our dispensary operations during evenings and weekends. You’ll take a leadership role ensuring accurate dispensing, compliance with GPhC/NHS standards, and smooth workflows, while supporting patient care from behind the scenes.

You will report to the Pharmacy Manager and work closely with dispensers and clinical teams, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service and compliance across all shifts. This role supports Montu’s mission of accessible, technology-driven cannabis care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and mentor the dispensary team during evenings/weekends—allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure coverage

• Oversee accurate medication dispensing in line with SOPs, GPhC regulations, and NHS standards

• Manage stock control and inventory—coordinate ordering, perform checks, minimise wastage, and ensure GDP compliance

• Maintain complete and compliant records: dispensed items, incident reports, controlled drugs logs

• Liaise with Pharmacy Operations to resolve issues and drive process improvements.

• Deliver training, conduct performance reviews, and foster a supportive, collaborative environment

• Support patient-focused objectives by enabling fast, accurate dispensing and effective communication with clinicians.

What we are looking for:

• UK Pharmacy Dispenser Qualification (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a pharmacy dispenser, ideally with some team leadership or supervisory experience

• Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational and communication skills

• Ability to lead a team effectively, motivate colleagues, and handle challenges in a fast-paced setting

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as part of the shift pattern

• Passion for delivering high-quality patient care and maintaining compliance standards
