We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker with extensive experience and knowledge in mental health to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support tailored to individuals with mental health needs.
- Promote independence and well-being by encouraging individuals to achieve personal goals.
- Implement care plans and support individuals in daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and community engagement.
- Monitor mental health conditions and report any changes or concerns to the relevant professionals.
- Support individuals in managing medications and appointments as per their care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care and support provided.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in working with individuals with mental health needs.
- Strong knowledge of mental health conditions, interventions, and care approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with clients and their families.
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and confidentiality.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible, patient, and empathetic approach to care.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 desirable).
- Mental Health training or certification is a plus.
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not mandatory).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
