THE EMPLOYER IS: SPORTS CHANGES LIFE FOUNDATIONSport Changes Life Foundation is a sport for development organisation that raises aspirations through sport. This role, Community Liaison Officer, will deliver sport-led intervention programmes designed to support young people, older adults, and wider community groups that Sport Changes Life engage with. The role focuses on strengthening community engagement, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring programmes meet the needs of local residents and participants.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver sport-based programmes and engagement activities for diverse community groups.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with local residents, youth organisations, community centres, health groups, and stakeholders.
  • Identify community needs and help shape intervention strategies that support wellbeing, inclusion, and social cohesion.
  • Represent the organisation at community events, meetings, and outreach activities.
  • Support monitoring and evaluation processes to measure programme impact and participation.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working with community groups, young people, or older adults.
  • Knowledge of local community needs and barriers to participation.
  • Ability to deliver engaging sport-based sessions.
  • Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • More than 1 coaching qualification.
  • Bachelors degree in any sport related discipline.
  • Experience of school based delivery of programmes.
