A leading educational institution in Manchester seeks a Specialist SEND Teacher to provide high-quality teaching and support for students with complex needs. In this full-time role, you will assist learners with Education, Health and Care Plans, promote inclusive education, and work towards qualified teacher status with support. This position offers competitive starting salary, generous annual leave, and various benefits including a pension and well-being days.
Are you passionate about inclusive education? Do you want to make a real difference to learners with complex needs? We're looking for a dynamic, compassionate, and skilled Specialist SEND Teacher to join our Foundation Learning department and help shape the future for our students. As our Specialist SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and targeted interventions for learners across Foundation Learning programmes based at multiple college campuses. Supporting students with a range of complex needs, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, you\'ll ensure every learner has access to a consistent, engaging, and inclusive education. This is a varied and rewarding role involving everything from 1:1 and small group support for disengaged learners, to providing cover across programmes and advising colleagues on effective SEND and SEMH strategies. You\'ll be a calm and professional presence in the classroom, promoting emotional regulation, positive behaviour, and inclusive teaching across a dynamic and diverse provision. We have an exciting opportunity join our Foundation Learning Department as SEND Teacher on a fixed-term (until July 2026), full-time (35 hours per week) basis.
