Overview

Chef Supervisor, City College Norwich Fixed Term until 31st July 2026

Part time 14.8 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (term time)

Working Wednesday and Thursday 07.30-15.00

£10,365 per annum pro rata (£30,138 per annum Full Time)

We are actively working to grow our Debut chef supervisor team to support our students in a diverse range of professional and technical qualifications within this dynamic hospitality and catering pathway.

Responsibilities
  • Train and develop the skills of learners to meet and exceed awarding body requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employer needs and skills gaps.
  • Inspire students with an enthusiastic approach to work.
  • Supervise the daily operation of a food production in our training café, providing a variety of meals for lunch service for a small group of students.
  • Willingness to train learners as required to meet the needs of the real working environment, customer needs and awarding body guidelines, and work experience opportunities within operational areas of the school.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Applicants do not need to hold a teaching qualification or teaching experience.
  • Alternatively, be a highly skilled practitioner in their field who can bring a wealth of abilities and knowledge beneficial to students at every educational level.
  • This is a great opportunity for a chef who would like to develop teaching and training skills for a career in hospitality and catering education.
