Overview

Exams Invigilators – Thurrock Campus. We are looking for flexible individuals to work as invigilators within the Examinations team.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure students comply with examinations regulations, deal with students sensitively, and ensure all have equal access to exams.
  • Distribute and collect examination scripts in the exam room.
  • Work closely with the Examinations team and invigilate examinations, including online examinations across the College curriculum.
  • Assist with safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Handle all aspects of invigilating examinations, with a focus on computer-based/online exams.
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well within a team and to safeguard student welfare.
Hours and Employment
  • Examinations are held mainly on weekdays, with occasional evenings and Saturdays.
  • Hours will be offered on a weekly basis and allocated fairly; there is no obligation to accept offered hours.
  • Candidates with greater availability or ability to cover more campuses will be offered more hours.
  • This is a bank staff position; hours cannot be guaranteed as demand fluctuates with the examination calendar. Most examinations requiring invigilation are computer-based/online.
