Job summary
A leading commercial vehicle dealer in the East Midlands is seeking an experienced HGV Collection and Delivery Driver (Yardperson) for a full-time position. Candidates should have HGV Class 1 driving qualifications and experience in a transport environment. Responsibilities include the collection and delivery of vehicles and organising the yard. Benefits include an hourly rate of £13.06 based on a 39-hour week, pension, and life assurance.

Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver vehicles from customer’s premises.
- Organise the yard of customer vehicles.
- Ensure the correct vehicles are available for Technicians.

Applications are invited for the posts of HGV Collection and Delivery Driver (Yardperson) for Mertrux.
This is a full time position and will be based at Mertrux Derby. Mertrux is the leading Mercedes-Benz and FUSO Commercial Vehicle Dealer in the East Midlands. - Reporting to the After Sales Manager, your main duties will include, collection & delivery of vehicles from customer’s premises, organising the yard of customer vehicles (van/truck) and to ensure the correct vehicles are available for the Technicians to work on at the right time.
- We are looking for a fully qualified driver who has had previous experience of working in a Commercial Vehicle or transport environment.
- You need to be honest, enthusiastic, hardworking, self-motivated and be able to drive vehicles up to and including HGV Class 1.
- HGV C+E (Class 1) is Essential
- Previous HGV Driving Experience is Essential
- Fork Lift License is Desirable
14.30 – 23:00 Monday to Thursday | 13.30 – 21.00 Friday
- Hourly Rate of £13.06 Based on a 39 Hour Week with Pension and Life Assurance.
