A leading finance recruitment firm is seeking an experienced Credit Controller for a busy finance team in Cambridgeshire. This fully office-based role involves managing regional ledgers, leading credit control activities, and ensuring targets are met. Qualifications
- Previous experience working with Credit Control.
- Comfortable managing high-volume ledgers.
- Proficient in resolving disputes and reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the regional ledger to maximise cash flow.
- Lead credit control activities and meet collection targets.
- Allocate incoming payments and resolve cash issues.
- Review key accounts and update on debt queries.
- Respond to invoicing queries and perform reconciliations.
Skills
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join a busy finance team on a 12-week temporary assignment. This role is fully office based and suited to someone confident managing high-volume regional ledgers and driving strong cash collection. Within this role you will report into the Finance Manager.
- Managing the regional ledger to maximise cash flow and minimise bad debt
- Leading day-to-day credit control activity and ensuring monthly collection targets are met
- Allocating incoming payments, resolving unallocated cash, and handling related disputes
- Reviewing key accounts with internal stakeholders and updating on debt queries
- Responding to invoicing and account-based queries, including reconciliations
As the successful candidate you will have previous experience working with Credit Control and be comfortable with debt chasing. You will also have good system and excel skills. Additional attributes you will possess include:

- Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
