Responsibilities
  • Work with the support of the blood collection team to welcome our donors and cover the after‑donation refreshments area.
  • Handle blood bags and a range of equipment.
  • Be available on a bank to work variable hours and days, including evening shifts, weekends and bank holidays with appropriate notice.
  • Undertake journeys in our vehicles or in your own vehicle for up to 2 hours to deliver blood collection at a variety of locations.
  • Load, unload, assemble and dismantle equipment daily, including heavy objects of up to 13 kg.

You don't need a medical background or any qualifications; we just need a friendly, flexible approach to make volunteer donors feel welcome, at ease and valued. You will receive training to undertake this vital role.
