Our hotel

The Balmoral is located at Edinburgh’s most prestigious address, No. 1 Princes Street, where the Old Town stops and the New Town begins. Our hotel’s majestic clock defines the city’s skyline and since the day we opened in 1902 it has run three minutes fast to ensure our guests will never miss their train.

Your key responsibilities

Rocco Forte Hotels are a collection of iconic hotels that respects the individuality of location and its team members, encouraging them to be their natural selves while providing a local, authentic experience to our guests.

This role has a specific focus on selling meeting and event spaces for social events to the local market.

As a valued part of the Forte family, you will:

  • Manage and develop relationships with key contacts int he city across a wide sector of companies, agencies and charities.

  • Collaborate with sales management team to plan and generate a seasonal calendar of revenue generating events.

  • Attend networking opportunities across the city

  • Cooperate well with colleagues in own team and across departments

  • Tailor your approach and anticipate needs so that high quality results are achieved

  • Deliver discreet, understated and timely service, going that extra mile

  • Consistently match and surpass guest expectations to ensure guest loyalty

  • Be knowledgeable of the hotel and our products, and actively seek opportunities to promote them

  • Take ownership of own tasks and responsibilities in line with the departmental standards
