What Are We Looking For?

RSE Controls (Saftronics) is seeking a Senior Software Design Engineer responsible for developing, commissioning, and supporting automation and control systems. RSE Controls specializes in MCC and power control, delivering solutions to the water industry.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

• Designing, specifying, programming, simulating, and testing automation and control systems.
• Developing, troubleshooting, and validating these systems in compliance with standards.
• Generating documentation and SOPs for automation systems.
• Assisting tendering and project teams with manhour budgets and software delivery schedules.
• Troubleshooting PLC software during startup and commissioning.
• Managing FDS documentation to support software production and end-users.

Design activities involve:

• Interfacing with instrumentation and sensors for machine and process control.
• Data capture and validation.
• Designing and implementing PLC networks.
• Electrical systems design, hardware specifications, and BOM creation.
• Programming PLCs, mainly Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Allen Bradley.

What Do You Need?

• Degree in Engineering or related field, with focus on electrical, mechanical, electronic, automation, or chemical disciplines.
• Experience in designing and commissioning control and electrical systems for process automation.
• Proficiency with PLCs and vision systems in process control environments.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi.
• HMI and SCADA programming with Wonderware, InTouch, RS View, Siemens, LabVIEW, GE Cimplicity.
• FAT and SATA experience with PLC and electrical control systems.
• Knowledge of process systems, P&ID control, and loop tuning.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility.
