Self-employed Core Delivery Driver

Our Self-Employed Core Delivery Drivers play a crucial role in our operation, providing a reliable and committed delivery service across 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday. With plenty of parcels to keep you busy, there is no better time to join Yodel.

Competitive rates for each parcel you deliver or collect

Typically, our Delivery Drivers can earn anything between £18 - £20p/h (paid per parcel). We are in the business of delivering promises as well as parcels and we regularly review rates to reflect business mileage and operational costs. It\'s a total gamechanger.

Daily & Weekly Payment Options

Yodel offers flexible payment options to Self-Employed delivery drivers. You can access earnings from the very next day via an app provided by our early access partner, Onsi, or join the weekly payment cycle scheme, which kicks in after 4 weeks of completed delivery services. Both options allow you to receive more regular payments for the delivery services you have provided.

We have plenty of parcels that need delivering and collecting from stores

There are plenty of parcels to deliver, meaning the earning opportunity is in your hands. Parcels weigh up to a maximum of 15kg and can vary in size. You can realistically deliver and collect between 16-25 parcels an hour depending on area and experience, for 6 days a week. The more you deliver, the more you earn with the opportunity to take more parcels and boost your revenue.

We\'ll give you freedom and flexibility

You can plan your own route or use our award-winning app with simple instructions and built-in optimisation, helping you prepare and plan routes and liaising directly with customers.

We\'ll offer regular work in the same area, 6 days a week

We deliver parcels for some of the biggest retailers. There is no shortage of parcels to deliver. You\'ll stay local and get to know the roads and customers.

We\'ll develop and support you

You\'ll have the independence of being self-employed, plus the backing of our expert team and access to a Yodel representative to answer questions.

Each day is what you make it. You can plan your own route, keeping things fresh and interesting. At each delivery or doorstep, you can use your mobile to scan parcels and ensure they are safely received by the customer. We will arrange a suitable time for you to collect parcels daily, or, for rural locations, we can drop parcels to you.

No experience required. We provide full training and support to help you get started.

All you need to show us is:

• Access to an insured car or van (up to 3.5 tonnes)
• A full UK or EC/EEA Driving Licence
• Proof of Right to Work in the UK
• iOS or Android smartphone
• Proof of own bank account
• A great attitude
