As a Food Service Assistant at Sodexo in Ferryfield House, 100 Pilton Drive, Edinburgh , EH5 2HF, you’ll play an important part in preparing and serving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery and wellbeing. You’ll also help maintain a clean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas.With a cheerful attitude and great customer service, your presence can make a real difference in someone’s day. What you’ll do:
Deliver friendly and welcoming service to colleagues, clients, and customers
Assist with daily service setup, food preparation, and serving from our tempting menus
Keep service and dining areas clean, tidy, and well-organised
Work closely with the kitchen team to keep everything running smoothly
Follow food safety, hygiene, allergen, and storage guidelines
Set up and deliver food and beverage for client hospitality
Operate a variety of standard kitchen equipment such as tills, dishwasher, oven, and fryer
Undertake all aspects of cleaning, including walls (up to 6ft), fixtures, fittings, floors, pots, pans, and utensils
Transport waste to designated skips
Assist in ad-hoc functions, some of which may occur outside of working hours
Provide holiday and sickness cover in other areas of the business
