Position Overview

Please note that this is a part‑time role working 16 hours per week from 10am – 3pm. Full flexibility is required. In your role as an Activities Coordinator at HC‑One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our Residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell. As an Activities Coordinator it will mean planning and implementing the kinds of activities that will delight our Residents. Not to mention helping the Home Manager to organise essential fundraising events. And, whether you’re giving our Residents the confidence to socialise more effectively, working on a new activity idea based on Residents’ hobbies, or getting the rest of the care home team involved – you’ll do so with a sense of kindness above all else.

Responsibilities

Plan and implement activities that will delight our Residents. Support the Home Manager with essential fundraising events. Encourage Residents to socialise more effectively. Work with the care home team to create new activity ideas based on Residents’ hobbies and interests.

Qualifications

Background working with vulnerable individuals, ideally developing activity programmes. Excellent planning, organisational and IT skills with the ability to manage your time effectively. Positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. Ability to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if there are concerns. Completion of safeguarding training appropriate to your role and willingness to undertake additional training where required. Ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
