Job Description

What will you be doing?

ALTEN UK is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support an exciting phase of aerospace system development. This position will involve working across multi-disciplinary teams, shaping requirements in the early stages of system design, and ensuring robust standards are applied throughout.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements engineering activities within an aerospace R&T / R&D context.
• Manage and refine requirements using Codebeamer.
• Collaborate with domain teams across different levels of the organisation.
• Contribute systems engineering expertise in early-stage system development.
• Define and apply requirements quality standards.
• Prepare and present technical documentation for design reviews.

Desirable Skills:

• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) knowledge.
• Structured verification experience.
• Experience in knowledge management.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

• Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Systems Engineering or related field.
• Experience in requirements engineering.
• Experience as an advanced user of Codebeamer.
• Strong knowledge and experience within the aerospace domain.
• Proven ability to work across domain teams and organisational levels.
• Competency in systems engineering.
• Skilled at working in early-stage system development.
• Experienced in writing technical reports and delivering to technical reviews.
