As a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare, you will be responsible for supporting and working alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Your duties will include monitoring residents' wellbeing, implementing and evaluating care plans, supporting with medication, and supervising and developing staff.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to supportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years experience working in similar care environment.

• Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

• You will need an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, and at least 2 years' experience working in a similar care environment. You must also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
