Our client is seeking a Systems Accountant to join their business. This position offers the opportunity to work with both external consultants and internal finance teams, assisting with the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. The successful candidate will be instrumental in mapping current COAs to new Group COA, acting as a super user within the business, and ensuring efficient and effective financial systems, practices, and policies.

What you'll do:

As an Interim Group Systems Accountant, your role will be crucial in the initial implementation of the New Finance System due to complete by Q1 2025. You will collaborate with external consultants and internal business finance teams to ensure a smooth transition. Your expertise will be vital in working with existing group businesses to map various current COAs to new Group COA being implemented with Business Central. Beyond this, you will continue to play a key role in designing, analysing and reviewing all financial systems, practices, and policies.

• Assist with the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Work closely with existing group businesses to map various current COAs to new Group COA
• Act as a super user within the business for system implementation
• Design, analyse and review all financial systems, practices, and policies
• Act as the finance lead for all system enhancements
• Administer, manage, maintain, and update all system configuration and administrative settings across all BC entities
• Review and enforce governance and controls across all finance systems and processes

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Systems Accountant role will have extensive experience of implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and come from a finance background. My client is looking for strong communication skills and a proven track record in supporting finance teams with Microsoft D365 Business Central. The key skills required are:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Experience of implementing ERP systems into finance functions
• Proven Management Accounting experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with finance and non-finance teams
• Proactive approach with ability to operate on own initiative
• Attention to detail, accuracy and high standards of delivery
