Job summary

A respected recruitment agency in London is seeking an experienced Accountant to ensure the accuracy and integrity of finance operations. This full-time role involves performing reconciliations and delivering valuable data analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has over 4 years of relevant experience, advanced Excel skills, and is AAT qualified or part-qualified. This position offers a competitive salary between £50,000 - £60,000.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in finance operations or accounting.
  • Willingness to complete an Excel test during the interview.
  • Experience supporting year-end close activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform control checks, reconciliations, and validations.
  • Monitor operational finance metrics and KPIs.
  • Deliver data analysis to support finance-led projects.
  • Maintain strong financial controls.

Skills

Experience with high-volume transactional data
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Understanding of financial controls and audit standards
Ability to communicate data insights clearly
Attention to detail
Collaboration with cross-functional teams

Education

AAT qualified or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
