Overview

Youth Justice Intervention Co-ordinator (Temporary) – 37 hours per week. Temporary up to 31 March 2026. An opportunity to work within the Youth Justice Service alongside Social Work case managers for the day-to-day management of a caseload. The successful candidate will support the team with the creation and delivery of effective practice-based interventions and programmes designed to prevent young people identified at risk of offending, re-offending and anti-social behaviour and young people at risk of harm to themselves and others.

The successful candidate will need to work flexibly to meet the needs of children and their families across all areas of Youth Justice, including participating in a Courts rota, and acting as appropriate adult. This may include working outside normal hours, in the evenings and at weekends as required.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post. Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees. An Enhanced with Childrens Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post. A valid driving licence is a requirement for this post. The council\'s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post, providing a framework for how you will undertake working hours between home and the office. Weekend working is a requirement of this post.
