Welder/Fabricator (Days Based)

£16.00 - £18.50 + Overtime + Company Benefits + FLT Licence

Are you an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator looking for a days-based, Monday to Friday role working on bespoke and repeat-build projects, with the chance to gain your FLT licence and boost your earnings through overtime?

Join a well-established engineering company specialising in custom-built fabrication projects. With continued investment in equipment and tooling, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled fabricator to work on varied, technically interesting builds within a supportive team.

Working in a covered workshop, you'll be involved in welding, fabrication, structural fitting, and preparing materials for both bespoke and repeat projects. You'll work from detailed 3D CAD drawings and fabricate items freehand to tight tolerances. The role is varied, practical, and ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering.

This role would suit a Welder/Fabricator with a background in MIG Welding looking for a days based Monday to Friday role.

The Role
  • MIG weld mild steel to ±1mm tolerances, including positional and overhead work
  • Fabricate freehand from detailed 3D CAD drawings
  • Cut, shape, and prepare materials using workshop tools and cutting equipment
  • Work with box section, plate work, and folded sheet metal
  • Carry out structural fitting (doors, frames, panels, insulation, reinforcements)
  • Use manual fabrication equipment including grinders and a box & pan folder
  • Operate a forklift once trained
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and workshop safety
