The position offers competitive benefits and opportunities for training and development.
A key member of the Sports editing team, working on commissioning, breaking and prosecuting both news stories and live coverage.
The role is digital first, with a real emphasis on bringing our coverage of live sport to life.
You will also be asked to react to breaking news and live events, as well as how to develop stories to serve our subscription-first audience.
The primary responsibility is working on Saturdays and Sundays - where our live need is greatest. However, around once a month we will look to have you work on a Friday and/or Monday instead, to understand more about what we do away from the weekend and how we serve our subscribers. (For clarity: this is a two day per week / 0.4 FTE position.)
This role is a fantastic way into the Telegraph, and to learn how our subscription-based journalism works.
