Overview

Gap Personnel who are operating as an employment business are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Warehouse Operative with FLT CB for a company based in the Knowsley area. The position is ongoing with a possibility of going into a permanent contract for suitable candidates. This is a dual position of warehouse operative and FLT driver.

Hours of work
  • Rotating shifts
  • 7am – 3pm
  • 3pm – 11pm
  • Monday to Friday
Pay rate

£13.42

Job Role

To undertake specific goods in/ dispatch warehouse duties in line with safe operating procedures and company policies to ensure a perfect quality product is correctly received onto site and packed/ palletized/ recorded and issued to the correct standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • To ensure the product is packed correctly and palletized in relation to the ingredient (chilled/ frozen/ ambient)
  • Start up/ shut down systems implemented
  • FLT driving
  • To ensure that all relevant documentation is completed as required
  • To ensure that all prestart checks are completed (i.e. FLT, pallet truck and racking)
  • To ensure that adequate packaging/ labels and other materials are provided to production in a timely manner
  • To manage the daily/ weekly stock check and report any shortages in a timely fashion
  • Material quality is monitored and managed effectively
  • Output achieves specified quality
  • Follow standard operating procedures for completion of tasks
  • Maintain a clean as you go area and demonstrate good manufacturing practice
  • Support the need for change and actively get involved in continually looking for ways to improve performance
  • Take part in continuous improvement activities and contribute suggestions to improve line performance
  • Comply with all company procedures and codes of practice to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace
  • Complete regular/ routine tasks without being asked
  • Focus on attention to details and maintaining high standards
  • Any other duties assigned to you
Knowledge and Experience
  • Knowledge and experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to take direction
  • FLT licence would be preferred, but not essential
