Warehouse Manager

Are you a hands on Warehouse Manager looking for a new challenge to lead and oversee all aspects of warehouse operations?An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone with a robust background in warehouse management, barcode systemsand professional logistics practices, looking to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment. Experience with a forklift, professional loading and international shipping is a must.

Day-to-day duties of the role:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including goods in, goods out, inventory control, and dispatch.
  • Manage and maintain barcode scanning systems to ensure accurate stock tracking and order fulfilment.
  • Lead a team of warehouse operatives, providing training, supervision, and performance management.
  • Ensure safe and efficient loading and unloading of goods, including professional load planning and space optimisation.
  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and in line with company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant warehouse environment.
  • Liaise with suppliers, couriers, and internal departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with procurement to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Implement and maintain health and safety standards across the warehouse.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse management or supervisory role.
  • Strong working knowledge of barcode scanning systems and warehouse management software (WMS).
  • Valid forklift license (Counterbalance and/or Reach).
  • Experience managing goods in/out processes and professional loading techniques.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
