A regional mental health service provider in the West Midlands seeks a Veterans Team Manager to oversee the OpCourage pathways. This role involves managing a dedicated team including peer support workers and healthcare professionals, focusing on providing mental health care to veterans. As the Veterans Team Manager you will be overseeing and managing the two pathways within CWPT OpCourage. Managing a team of approximately 14 staff made up of some great peer support workers, nurses, occupational therapists and social workers.
You will be joining a team of highly committed people from the Midlands OpCourage urgent, non urgent and the treatment pathway who are all dedicated to the cause and working to provide the kind of service that you would want for your own loved ones all with the right spirit of fun, camaraderie and trust in each other.

The post holder will support the Regional Lead in providing effective frontline management to the multi-disciplinary urgent and non-urgent pathways within OpCourage West Midlands. In agreement with the Regional Lead, the post holder will provide leadership and working in partnership with our contracted colleagues, will ensure access to the full range of specialist assessment and interventions offered for the veterans and their family members.
This is a community-based service providing support to veterans in times of crisis, both through the urgent and non-urgent pathways, across a large geographical area (West Midlands).

Liaise with services involved at time of crisis i.e. police, LIDI teams or A/E staff.
Liaise with other OpCourage providers and third sector agencies to ensure veteran and families are linked into appropriate support.
