Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for a Utilities Engineer - Mechanical to join our training team as an assistant to the training manager, working across the Midlands. The role involves training mechanical workshop staff and delivering professional engineering services related to utilities networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply domain and technical knowledge for design, standards, and system performance of relevant network plant and equipment.
  • Ensure the availability and maintenance of utilities plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Provide engineering expertise for design, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of network plant equipment.
  • Identify and escalate risks associated with network plant condition and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, security, and quality standards.
  • Maintain professional development and stay updated with industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience in mechanical design and implementation in regulated sites, production, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Operational and engineering experience in utilities and building services.
  • Ability to solve complex problems using industry-standard software.
  • EU work permit required.

This position is based in Bedford, with a salary range of £36,000 to £38,000, working Monday to Friday during daytime hours. The role includes a company car and requires adherence to safety and engineering standards.
