Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated Finance Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This role is ideal for a part-qualified ACCA professional seeking to deepen technical accounting expertise and gain exposure across management accounts, statutory reporting, compliance, budgeting, and cashflow. You’ll play an important role in delivering accurate financial information and supporting the Finance Manager in day-to-day operations and planning of the UK and Group holding companies.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
  • Process and post month-end journals, including accruals, prepayments, and reclassifications.
  • Perform and review month-end balance sheet reconciliations, promptly investigating variances.
  • Manage daily, weekly cashflow reporting and analysis, ensuring timely and accurate forecasting of liquidity needs.
  • Support preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts and associated tax packs.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive process documentation for all accounting procedures.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
Compliance & Taxation
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
  • Process monthly payroll activities and reconciliations.
  • Support year-end payroll processes and reporting.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Essential Requirements

Part-qualified ACCA (minimum Part-Qualified status).

Experience in :
  • Month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Preparing management accounts.
  • Processing month-end journals and adjustments.
  • Cashflow reporting and analysis
  • VAT return preparation and submission.
  • Exposure to statutory accounts and tax packs.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable Requirements
  • Previous experience in media, advertising, or services industry.
  • Experience with OneStream and Power BI for reporting and analysis.
  • Progress toward completing ACCA qualification.
  • Understanding of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Exposure to multi-entity environments.
