About the Role

As a Transport Planner , you’ll be responsible for both strategic and day-to-day transport planning across our Hub Network. You’ll create, execute, and review transport plans using Ortec and TMS systems, ensuring they’re accurate, cost-effective, and deliver a premium service. You’ll work closely with Hub teams to make sure plans are achievable and support operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain daily transport plans using Ortec and TMS systems.
• Optimise routes for cost efficiency and service performance.
• Monitor and adjust plans based on real-time operational changes.
• Analyse transport data to identify trends and improve accuracy.
• Collaborate with Hub teams to ensure plan adherence and resolve issues.
• Model and forecast transport capacity for peak periods.
• Provide cost analysis and recommendations for new transport activities.
• Support change programmes and embed new planning processes.
• Deliver accurate reporting on plan vs actual performance and KPIs.
