Job summary

A prominent estate agency in Greater London is seeking a candidate with a strong understanding of service charge accounting. Responsibilities include managing service charges, liaising with solicitors, and supporting daily administration. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and possess excellent communication skills. Competitive salary of £26,500 offered, with a structured work schedule from Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Property Management is an advantage.

Main purpose of the Role

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of service charge accounting and the associated legislation. They must also have a proven ability to work on their own initiative, excellent organisational skills and a pro‑active approach to their daily tasks and be expected to develop the role as the business grows.

Location: Hampton Hill

Hours: Monday-Friday 8.30am-5.30pm

Salary: £26,500

Key Responsibilities
  • Issuing of demands for service charges and ground rents
  • Entering and maintaining annual budgets for service charges
  • Chasing arrears and liaising with solicitors for legal action
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Invoice entry and contractor payments
  • Preparation of year end summaries for accountants
  • Confirmation Statements and stock transfers
  • Collection and monitoring of management and administration fees
  • Supporting the block managers day to day admin
  • Issuing consultation notices and collating observations
  • Full training will be provided to the right candidate
