The Role

Join this Tier 1 ranked Commercial and TMT team, where you'll become part of a Top 20, dynamic and international law firm.

Based in Edinburgh, you'll have the chance to advise high-profile clients across a broad range of technology, media and commercial matters, while being fully integrated into a global network of experts.

The team is known for its work on cutting-edge projects in technology, data protection, outsourcing, intellectual property, telecoms and digital media.

Clients range from global corporates and financial institutions to innovative start-ups and public bodies.

From day one, you'll be entrusted with significant responsibility, gaining direct client exposure and working alongside leading Partners and Associates on complex, strategically important matters.

This role also offers opportunities to collaborate internationally, giving you the chance to build a career that combines local impact with global reach.

The Work

• Advising clients on a wide range of commercial contracts, outsourcing and technology projects.
• Supporting on regulatory matters including data protection, GDPR compliance and telecoms regulation.
• Advising on IP, SaaS, licensing and digital media issues.
• Working with international colleagues on cross-border transactions and projects.
• Building strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and trainees as you progress.

Your Background

• 2+ years' PQE, with strong experience in Commercial and TMT
• Excellent technical skills and a genuine interest in technology, media and innovation.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to deliver clear, commercial advice.
• A collaborative approach, able to work effectively within a team and across jurisdictions.
• Commercially minded, proactive and confident engaging directly with clients.
