An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join a busy and fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is a key role focused on ensuring product quality through analytical testing of raw materials and finished goods, with a strong emphasis on microbiology.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make an impact in a quality-focused lab environment, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out analytical testing in line with agreed work plans and schedules
  • Producing accurate, valid results and reporting them in a timely manner
  • Flagging any out-of-spec results or non-conformances immediately
  • Maintaining competency across all defined lab operations
  • Following SOPs and world-class operational practices
  • Acting as signatory for your own results and preparations
  • Supporting documentation and certificate release processes when required
  • Providing weekend cover on a rota basis
What we’re looking for
  • Background in microbiology is essential
  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification
