Job description

A new opportunity has arisen for a Lead Geo-Environmental professional to join a well-established consultancy based in central Manchester. This opening offers the chance to lead high‑profile commercial and infrastructure projects while working alongside a small team of contaminated land and geotechnical specialists.

The successful professional will take ownership of delivering and managing a wide range of ground investigation and contaminated land projects across the region and play a key role in both technical delivery and team leadership, with scope to further develop the geotechnical side of the business as the consultancy continues to grow.

Your responsibilities will include managing Phase 1 desk studies, overseeing interpretative reporting, reviewing and completing DQRA work, supervising sites, managing programmes and budgets, and acting as a main point of contact for the firm\'s clients. You will also have the opportunity to support / mentor junior staff as the team makes progress.

This is a varied position, combining office‑based technical work with site and client‑facing responsibilities.
