Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher seeking a rewarding role in a supportive environment? This opportunity at a thriving SEN primary school could be perfect for you! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our team. We specialise in supporting pupils with SEN needs, predominantly communication difficulties associated with Autism Spectrum Conditions, offering a high-quality education in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Class sizes are typically between 3-6 pupils, allowing for individualised attention and tailored support.

  • Position: SEN Primary School Teacher
  • Shift: Full-time
  • Salary: £33,075 - £48,719 per year (M1 - UPS2 Fringe)
    Plus £5,000 bonus For Qualified Teachers
  • Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time only - Start time 8:15am - Finish time Monday/Wednesday/Thursday 4:45pm. Tuesday 5pm and Friday 4pm

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of pupils with SEN needs.
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and emotional well-being.
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing regular feedback.
  • Working collaboratively with a team of professionals to support pupils' individual needs.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a deep understanding of child development and a passion for supporting pupils with SEN needs. You'll be a highly motivated and resilient individual, able to adapt to the challenges of a dynamic classroom environment. A driving licence and access to a car is essential.

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience working with pupils aged 6-16 (preferred)
  • Proven ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Experience working with SEN pupils
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Right to work in the UK is a must
