Job description

Job Title: System Test Analyst

Location: Leeds

Salary: Up to £35,000 + 3% flexible benefits + on target bonus of 5% + contributory pension

This role is working within an Agile, SCRUM / RAD team and will give you the chance to further your experience with these methodologies.

You’ll be responsible for:

  1. Test script creation and execution.
  2. Liaise with Business Analysts to ensure test coverage of functional requirements.
  3. Defect investigation & logging where expected outcomes are different from actual.
  4. Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the core Collections system and processes, and how those systems and processes interact.
  5. Perform System Integration and End to End testing.
  6. Develop skills required for the production of estimates and risk analysis (where required).
  7. Attend/lead document walkthroughs and reviews of project documentation when required from a testing perspective.
  8. Consistently communicate risks and issues to the project team and/or Product Test Manager.
  9. Define and document the test strategy per project, ensuring a robust test pack is in place to support the test execution.

You’ll need to evidence the following qualifications, skills and experience:

Experience:

  1. At least 3 years system testing experience.
  2. Ideally have a background in software testing or IT.
  3. Exposure to .NET and Microsoft SQL Server 2010 and beyond.
  4. Experience of working with test automation tools such as Selenium and SOAPUI.
  5. Understanding of different testing approaches and techniques.
  6. Agile, SCRUM or RAD experience.
  7. Experience of working within the constructs of Team Foundation Server 2013 and above.
  8. Knowledge of working with test management tools such as Microsoft Test Manager 2013.
  9. Financial services/debt collection experience.
  10. Business project management experience.

Qualifications:

  1. ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing as a minimum.

  1. Strong technical testing skills.
  2. Sound understanding of System Integration Testing.
  3. Ability to query databases.
  4. Diagnostic and problem solving.
  5. Understanding of web-based applications.
  6. Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture.
  7. Knowledge of networking and system architecture.
  8. Systems applications awareness – SQL, TFS, Microsoft .NET.
