Salary: GBP 40,000 - GBP 48,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

HSE Recruitment Network is recruiting for a Sustainability Assurance Specialist to support our Capital Delivery projects, ensuring they meet and exceed environmental standards and commitments.

The role focuses on driving sustainability performance, providing expert advice, supporting project teams in meeting carbon and sustainability obligations, and raising awareness across the organization.

Main Responsibilities

1. Promote continuous improvement of environmental and sustainability performance across all projects.
2. Stay informed about current and emerging environmental legislation and best practices, and communicate these requirements.
3. Collaborate with the Project Engineering team to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
4. Support project personnel in managing their carbon and sustainability responsibilities.
5. Assist the Environmental team in meetings, workshops, management reviews, and forums with stakeholders.
6. Raise awareness and understanding of carbon and sustainability targets within Capital Delivery.

Essential Experience, Training, and Qualifications

1. Degree (or equivalent) in Environmental, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
2. Previous experience in the Utility industry is preferable.
3. A keen interest in project delivery and protecting the environment.
4. Proactive, adaptable, with problem-solving skills and high standards under changing scenarios.
5. Full UK driver’s license and access to a car.
