Job description
Overview

Mencap are seeking Support Workers on both permanent and relief contracts to join our incredible teams across our services in Teesside. As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life.

Responsibilities

Support someone with their daily life and provide emotional support. Work across a range of days and shift patterns, including some sleep in shifts (payment for sleep ins is competitive and compliant with National Living Wage requirements). Prepare rotas in advance to support personal and social plans. Collaborate with the team to promote independence and well-being for individuals with learning disabilities.

Shift times

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life. There is also a non-contractual sleep-in available where you will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £63.70.
