Job description
Overview

Looking to start a new job with satisfaction that you\'d struggle to find anywhere else? We\'re looking for new female colleagues to join our amazing #TeamParkvale in Longside on a part-time (16-30 hours per week) or relief basis.

About the team and the people you will support

You\'ll become part of a fun, friendly team who support five individuals with learning and physical disabilities to live in their own shared home. You\'ll provide invaluable support with all aspects of their daily living, including cooking, cleaning, finances, medication and personal care. You\'ll also be enthusiastic and creative in supporting their hobbies and interests, which include arts & crafts, walking and attending various social events and activities. The people we support enjoy swimming, so you will need to feel confident in the pool.

About you / qualifications

You don\'t need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and provide all the training you\'ll need if you\'re successful. We\'ll fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too. For this opportunity, you must have a driving license and access to your own vehicle due to the rural location of our service.

What we will need you to bring:

  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Confidence to go in the water as swimming is a regular activity
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Confidence in the use of computers
  • The ability to cook (baking would be a bonus too!)
  • A full driving license and access to your own vehicle
Shift patterns

Shift patterns usually fall between the hours of 07:00-21:30. Sleepovers, weekends and public holidays will also form part of your rota on a rotational basis. The sleepover part of sleepover shifts is not included in your contracted hours, so you will receive an additional £100.80 for every sleepover worked.
