Job description

We're now looking for a future star. If you’re seeking a rewarding role for 2026 that brings true satisfaction, join our fantastic #TeamDalmarnock in Glasgow as a Support Practitioner on a permanent basis.

The Role and the people you will support

You will join a dedicated team of Support Practitioners providing support for 10 individuals within a twenty‑four‑hour housing support service in Bridgeton. The people we support have learning disabilities and other complex health and support needs, with a focus on maintaining and promoting independence. As a Support Practitioner you will work in a person‑centred way to provide support in all aspects of daily living, including personal care, cooking and helping them to take care of their home.

The ladies we support enjoy pamper sessions, nails, massages, lunch, shopping, the ARC club and weekly writing classes. The gentlemen enjoy day trips to Dundee or Edinburgh, parties and community events.

To be a great Support Practitioner, you will be:
  • A naturally empathetic person with a warm, friendly personality.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Positive, respectful relationships with a variety of people.
  • A problem‑solver who thinks on your feet and uses initiative.
  • Competent in technology to enhance the support you provide.
  • A good motivator with a positive, can‑do attitude.
  • Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the people we support.

You don’t need experience in care or qualifications to start. We recruit on values and transferable skills. We pay for training and fund your SVQ qualification too.

Shift Patterns

Our team operates twenty‑four hours a day, seven days a week on a four‑week rolling rota. Expect a combination of longer and shorter day shifts and sleepovers between 7 am and 10 pm (sleepovers do not form part of your contracted hours but you receive an additional payment for sleepover work).
